This Canmore intimate wedding was close to home! Its literally my favorite kind of wedding to shoot, probably because its how I’d have my own wedding! I loved every minute of it!!! Let me walk you through the day So you can see why it was so special to me.
I arrived at the hotel to get Paul and the boys getting ready. When the door opened. A shirtless man covered in lights from the disco greeted me… ok, this is gonna be good! I walk in and Paul and the boys are all running around getting all ready. Paul gave me a big bear hug and starts raving about how excited he is and how much he loves me! After shooting their shananagins for an hour or so I had to head over to Marisa.
The room is calm, the girls are all quietly chatting. I burst in the door over flowing with excitement the boys had transferred onto me. It didn’t take long to get the girls all riled up! in the bath tub, jumping on the bed and quickly getting dressed and running outside to shake some champagne!
We took off on the drive our to the lake for the ceremony, which was amazing! with 25 of their cloestest friends and family, they exchanged heart warming and tearful vows. Afterwards we all shared a toast on the lake shore and just basked in the love. Once everyone was ready we did a few family photos, group photos, then everyone left us. Marisa and her PAul and my PAul (and goober) were all alone. We spent an hour or 2 roaming around laughing, drinking, and doing some couples shots. Then carried on driving them to their reception at the Iron goat in canmore.
Canmore Intimate Wedding
The best part of all of this was the fact that Marisa and Paul originally were going to have a large wedding at an wedding venue here in central Alberta.
When it got to the nitty gritty, they chose to have less, and experience more with a Canmore initiate wedding, it was such a glorious day and I couldn’t be happier for these two!
