DIY Wedding, what does that even mean? Well I’ve been having a hard time explaining “my favorite kind of weddings”. Its hard to define what I love, I see so many different ways of having a wedding & I’ve heard so many different terms that kind of explain what I love so much! Theres Micro Weddings, Elopement Style, Intimate Weddings, Wedding Venue Weddings, Garden Weddings, Tent Weddings. One I haven’t heard to much about is a DIY Wedding- and I’m going to throw that one out there!! because Victoria’s amazing eye & awesome work ethic has made me fall in love with what I’m calling “DIY weddings”
The kind of wedding you have in the quonset on the family farm/truck yard! Its so cozy, and its usual only a short walk to your own bedroom! But yet you’ve almost created a wedding venue at your very home!
Tent weddings are always an option, but when a couple puts in months of work to clean out their quonset, and decorate it into a magnificent dinner hall/ wedding place, its always so remarkable and inspiring!
One thing I love about these kinds of weddings, is the family involvement! It warms my heart when I see the parents bustling away to help make sure their kids wedding day is everything they dreamed of!
Victoria & Lee had just that! an amazing day, surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was everything a wedding should be Fun, outrageous, adorable, hilarious, romantic and flooded with family & friends! If you have the grits to clear out and clean up the ol barn or quonset at the farm and turn it into a beautiful wedding venue then do it!!!

Side note, You may be asking yourself why I have radom couples at sunset. Well, Lee is not the biggest fan of doing photos, and I PROMISED if he just stuck it out for me with 20 minutes I’d be quick & dirty and we could get back to the party. However, once the 20 mins was up & lee had done amazing with me ALL day, I wasnt about to ask for more! and besides he was having a blast with all his guests! So I grabbed some of the bridesmaids and a couple guests who wanted to get some amazing blue hour photos!!!Weddings are the best time to get a timy couple session!! your already dressed up!
