Dream Wedding- Now thats a statement, But honestly I don’t know how else to describe Madi & Arseni’s Wedding. Why don’t I just tell you the whole story and you can decide for yourself why this was a dream wedding!
I think the back story is just as important as the story itself, so lets start in the very beginning!
So in 2018, Shanelle & Reed (also the owners of Love and Lace Antique Rentals) Hired me to be their photographer for their gorgeous Sweet Haven Wedding the next year.
As seen on one of her AMAZING couches below!
So I meet Shanelle & Reed and upon getting to know them, I must have caught the eye of Shanelle’s super cool friend miss Leah, because she ended up hiring me for her & Chances wedding as well!
I met Leah’s out of this world family. Honestly, I love them & I love playing the nipple game with her sis Jenna (who is also an amazing hair dresser)
I got to know Leah & Chance and had a hell of a time at their Track on 2 wedding!
Madi is one of Leah’s closest friends. So I had the opportunity to get to know her & even meet her (at the time boyfriend) Arseni & Madi’s family at Leah & Chances wedding!
THEN not long after Leah & Chances wedding, Arseni & Madi got engaged, and I was stoked when they messaged me for photos!!!
I was dying to hang out with Leah & Chance again and I wanted to take some time to really get to know Madi & Arseni better. So instead of a normal engagement shoot we decided to make a weekend out of it and all go snowboarding in Revelstoke. We drove up together and stopped at all the good spots for some photos! We may have even broke into a few places I’m not gonna talk about!
We spent the weekend boarding and hot tubbing and I had the best time hanging out all weekend!
Since then I actually work once and awhile with Leah & Madi at the ER. As well Madi & Arseni were models for a workshop I hosted. With Covid there were a few bumps in the road and there was the idea of moving the wedding, I’m so happy they choose to stick with the original date and have their dream wedding in 2020!
So now that I’ve given you the rough outline of what brought us here I can finally tell you the story of Madi & Arseni’s dream wedding d
The Wedding Day
Jaycee & I arrived at Arseni’s parents home early in the afternoon, to see what Arseni was up to.
Arseni’s parents were so kind, hilarious and adorable! His dad serenaded Arseni as they dressed
His Mom was so excited for her part in the morning.
Louie was dressed for the occasion as well!
We showed up at Madi’s Parents early to get a few photos of the ceremony set up before everything started! Because I LOVE Shanelle’s rentals!
The Bottled Bronco was there!
Madi’s girls Leah & Amy adorned her so magically and hilariously, just as I knew they would!
Amy wrote out a letter for Madi and supplied her with something new, borrowed and blue (an anklet made by Amy’s mom)
They wrapped her bouquet with her grandmothers necklace
Madi had letters written to her parents embordered on hankie’s
With Amy as a bridesmaid & Leah as the officiant Madi had her closest friends intertwined into her wedding day.
Amy also sang Madi down the aisle.
Arseni’s Parents incorporated some Russian tradition by having a small bread ceremony at the end of the official ceremony.
It was magnificent to see his parents involved in the ceremony as well as his families culture.
Madi & Arseni’s parents were amazingly close & I would have assumed they had been friends for decades.
After the ceremony & A few minutes for some family photos everyone just relaxed and spent time catching up.
I have to add that the tent was from the Kind of bounce, because I have heard such amazing things about the company & the tent was gorgous!
We all came into the tent for some Delicious roast beef, chicken & STELLAR potatoes from Red deer Catering
Amy had the most hilarious speech where I learnt some of Madi’s dark secrets about hoarding mice and being a pirate. She also made a sweet little video for Madi!
Jordan also revealed a few interesting facts about Arseni, or Steve as he used to say.
They had some Troubled Monk on tap for their guests as well!
We all enjoyed the very detailed slideshow/movie Amy made for them!
When the time for group and couples shots finally arrived, all my best laid plans went to crap. I had come out the night before to meet everyone at the rehearsal dinner and I had grand plans of using the wheat field next to the house, however once I walked in I realized every wheat strand was going to stick right to Madi’s dress. So for the group we snuck by the fence.
The original bridal party!
Afterwards we all jumped into the escape to catch the sunset!
Found it!!! we just had to work to get to it!
Our alone time was cut short, but beautiful with the clouds rolling over the sunset. But that was ok, we had a party to attend!!
My bestie Minee was a guest and leah grabbed an off the hip photo of us reuniting!!
We started things off with Madi & Arseni’s first dance.
Arseni’s Dad sang them a song for a romantic dance.
On the Mark got the party started the way only Mark can!!
My camera was stolen while I was on the dance floor.
Madi & Leah showed off some amazing dance moves
And then… we just partied!
The Next Day
So Madi is big into water sports and she had planned on going surfing the day after. I was happy to tag along for the fun! Seeing how their engagement photos were a snowbaording trip. It seemed fitting that they would go wake boarding/surfing the day after their wedding.
