2018 is one for the books, Its two weeks into June & I already have 2 all time fav weddings!!! Nicole & Ave’s rustic barn wedding was AMAZING!!
Seriously, the people, the venue, the food, the dresses. Every thing was right up my alley!!
So lets start from the beginning with what made this wedding so special!
First Off I met Steve (Nicole’s Dad) A ridiculously funny man that everyone is excited to work with. ( All the ER staff will back me up on this!)
Then Nicole, was finishing her RN program and came to the ER for her practicum. I instantly loved her, not only was she fun, kind, outgoing, she was a hard ass worker…Something I respect Immensely! Being Steve’s daughter I was already sure I would like her, but once I got to know her I Loved her!!
The fact that she has the same love of puppies as I really helped the friendship.
Then… Nicole got engaged, to Ave.. Who I assumed I’d love as much as Nicole, but ya never know.
So we did an engagement session, then another one(I wanted to go swimming) and then a little family shoot when Ms.Penny arrived. Ave was easy to get to know and even easier to love, he was just as outgoing and friendly as Nicole.
Now fast forward to Nicole giving me a heart attack when she showed me the venue ( insert dramatic gasp)
Come Wedding day, everything was perfect. Not perfect like everything went exactly as planned. It rained, There was no sunset, we didn’t get to use the canoe that had been set aside the river bend where the sun was gloriously setting only a few days before.
A lot of things went “other then planned”
But weddings a lot like life, is way more fun when you roll with the punches and be grateful & happy no matter what life throws at you.
In the middle of Nicole’s Moms speech (who was cracking me up all day) It started to pour, not cute little rain drops, but big heavy wet sopping rain drops. So Jackie Yelled ” TO THE BARN” And 150+ people grabbed their drinks, some grabbed chairs for the grandparents & The bridal party, and into the barn we went.
Once inside everyone stood, sat & huddle around listening to all the toasts, games & singing that had planned for the evening. Not gonna lie, ya know that warm fuzzy feeling ya get when your all cuddled up in the livingroom with your family while its storming out? kinda that Christmas evening feeling. That’s what I felt. Everyone came in from the cold windy weather and cuddled together, as though they were all in their family living room. I was the most intimate feeling I’ve have with 150 people I had just met.
Lets start with Nicole & Ave’s ridiculously romantic and cozy dance in the middle of the barn surrounded by friends and family. At this point Ave had got it back together form steve speech and was all smiles again. Little did he know, Steve doesn’t even need ot speak to get him to tear up. Once the father daughter dance started I think half the barn was back in tears.
But I’ll let ya see for yourself!!!
Oh & then there was a sparkler exit (BTW)
Thanks again Nicole & Ave for having me capture your wedding day! It blew my mind! I’m so blessed to have people like you in my life.
