I met Justis + Kirsten like over 2 years ago, or something ridiculous like that! They were planning their June 20 2020 wedding at the Goldeye Centre! We had such large plans.
Then as am sure your all aware, the tornado that is 2020 arrived. They were faced (like many 2020 wedding couples were) with the choice, do they cancel, postpone or down size their wedding?
They chose to down size… ALOT, I mean 15 people or less (as we were instructed by the current regulations)
The plan was set, wed do a small elopement at windy point, with a few on lookers from their vehicles.
Then came the day they lifted the 15 person regulation to 50, I was working at the hospital with Kirsten sent me the message. Right there in black and white. Restrictions lifted to 50 person gatherings! and just like that, the small elopement turned into a wedding. Adjusted no doubt, but still 50 people!? instead of 15! Hells ya!
Then came the location change, ironically enough. I was at windy point doing a shoot the Monday prior to the wedding out at windy point & Kirsten was there scouting where she’d like to do the ceremony. The name Windy point was not accurately describing the atmosphere there that day. Windy as all h#ll point would have been more on the nose! So 5 days before the wedding, Kirsten finds herself a new but old location… Thanks to the kindness of the Goldeye Centre, we were back there!!
So Its been one heck of a ride and we’ve almost come full circle. But in the end the day was beautiful, Kirsten was gorgeous & They were MARRIED
After the Goldeye Centre Wedding ,we headed over to the lake just down the road for some frolicking!
The classic end shot!!!
