By Dallas – Rocky Mountain house wedding photographer
When I first met Kailyn & Kyle two things were obvious. They were ridiculously kind good hearted people & Their girls were as much a part of their relationship as they each were.
They wanted the girls involved in everything, including their engagement photos. So come the wedding day I knew it would incorporate the whole family!
The day started at Kyles house, where the boys were all gifted some hilarious socks! Kailyn had written Kyle a letter along with his gift, an engraved necklace.
When I arrived at Kailyns hotel, There was more letters! each of the girls wrote their future step-mom heart filled letters followed by a letter from Kyle.
When it came time to put on the dress, the girls slipped into the other room to give Kailyn time alone with her Mom to help her into it.
The girls watched Kailyns every move as she put on her vintage jewelry.
We arrived at Twin lakes, all the guests were ready! Kyle was wait with his mom & groomsmen. It was a simple ceremony lead by one of my favorites, Grace! I always watch from the reaction of the groom, but this day was special. I had 3 reactions to watch for the girls were just as excited and nervous as Kyle.
After the ceremony concluded, instead of a traditional receiving line, Kyle & Kailyn wandered through the guests visiting with everyone who came all the way to witness their wedding day.
After all the visiting & the family photos were done, The wedding party took a walk around the lake. It was fantastic that the girls came along with us!
When we were all done spraying champagne all over everyone we raced back to the hall for dinner, which was amazingly decorated by Kyle & Kailyn!
Cow tipping?? I don’t know, its a Medicine Hat thing…
Once everyone had eaten, said their speeches & the Dancing had begun! Kyle, Kailyn, Brittany & I went for a drive out the the tracks, Kyle even bravely walked out to what might have been a bit of a dangerous height on the bridge, seeing how both Kyle & Brittany are not fan of heights I think they both did well!!
Enjoying sunset with the bride & groom is always my favorite part of the wedding day, not only is the light beautiful, but the stress of the day is gone (which Kyle & Kailyn actually didn’t seem to have any of!!)
Never the less it is an amazing hour to just be alone with your new wife/husband, step away from your guests and just enjoy each other.
Love this girl!! Kailyn is jumping a hot wire in her dress!
Of course I need a shot with the GORGEOUS couple… in front of the duct tape Jetta that scooted us off into the sunset!
I’m so appreciative of Kyle & Kailyn for trusting me to document their day. I’m so grateful for the kindness and welcome arms the whole family offered me! Its such a great feeling to be around amazing people! Thanks so much for having me!!!
